altEvil Dead, de Roque Baños, y Grand Piano, de Víctor Reyes, aparecen en el quinteto de bandas sonoras nominadas a Mejor Score Cinematográfico del Año en los premios de la International Film Music Critics Association (IFMCA). Es una muestra más del reconocimiento internacional al trabajo de los compositores españoles, puesto que junto a Baños y Reyes también encontramos a César Benito como candidato a Compositor Revelación.

Roque Baños también es candidato a Compositor del Año, a Mejor Score para Película de Fantasía/Ciencia-Ficción/Terror, por Evil Dead y a Mejor Tema, por «Abominations Rising», del mismo film. Víctor Reyes tiene también Grand Piano nominada a Mejor Score para Película de Acción/Aventura/Thriller; y César Benito compite con El tiempo entre costuras al premio de Mejor Score para Serie de Televisión.

Junto a Evil Dead y Grand Piano, los candidatas a Mejor Score son Gravity, de Steven Price; The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, de Howard Shore; y Romeo and Juliet, de Abel Korzeniowski. De hecho, este compositor polaco es el que más nominaciones acapara -seis en total- por sus trabajos para Romeo and Juliet y Escape from Tomorrow.

En la categoría de Compositor del Año encontramos, además de Roque Baños y Abel Korzeniowski, al francés Laurent Eyquem, que ha causado sensación con Copperhead; a Steven Price, gracias a Gravity, y a Brian Tyler, que ha cuajado el mejor año de su carrera con Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Now You See Me, John Dies at the End, o el videojuego Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
