La Academia de Hollywood ya ha hecho pública la lista de obras candidatas al Oscar en la categoría de Mejor Score Original. En total son 141 bandas sonoras. En el caso de las aspirantes a Mejor Canción, son 70.

Pero como sucede cada año, la noticia trata más de las bandas sonoras que faltan que de las que están. Por ejemplo, no está en la lista Detroit, de James Newton Howard. Tampoco The Meyerowitz Stories, de Randy Newman. Falta también American Made, de Christophe Beck. Y otra omisión de las gordas es The Greatest Showman, de John Debney y Joseph Trapanese. ¿Los motivos? Seguramente distintos en cada caso. Música insuficiente o con poco peso en la historia… Esa clase de cosas que tendremos que ir desvelando a medida que nos enteremos.
