altLa Asociación BSOSpirit continúa ofreciendo sorpresas para la celebración de la I edición de PlayFest, el Festival de Música, Animación y vídeojuegos que tendrá lugar en Úbeda del 23 al 29 de julio de 2012.

En esta ocasión, y tras la confirmación de la presencia de los compositores Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill) y Austin Wintory (Journey), tenemos el placer de anunciar la presencia de Lolita Ritmanis, Michael McCuistion y Kristopher Carter (Dynamic Music Partners), el trío que se conoció mientras trabajaban para la gran Shirley Walker en las series animadas para televisión de Batman. Michel, Kristopher y Lolita llevan componiendo música para televisión, cine, videojuegos y salas de conciertos durante más de quince años, logrando numerosas nominaciones a los Emmy y alzándose con la estatuilla en 2002 por su trabajo en la serie Batman del Futuro. 

Entre sus créditos se encuentra la música para series animadas como Las Nuevas Aventuras de Batman y Superman, Batman del Futuro, La Liga de la Justicia y La liga de la Justicia Ilimitada, Teen Titans, Legión de Superhéroes, Ben 10, El Espectacular Spiderman, Batman el Intrépido o la reciente Joven Liga de la Justicia. Todas ellas con gran éxito de crítica y público.

Después de años trabajando juntos, descubrieron las virtudes de unir fuerzas y en 2004 decidieron fundar Dynamic Music Partners y han compuesto como equipo desde entonces.

Todos han demostrado su talento en solitario pero sin duda han probado que su trabajo conjunto es mucho más que la suma de sus talentos. Para BSOSpirit es un privilegio contar con la presencia de unos músicos con tanta experiencia en el mundo de la animación y es todo un lujo sumar sus nombres al cartel de invitados de PlayFest.

Creando mundos de bolsillo desde Madrid

Pero aún hay un anuncio más, esta vez en el ámbito de los videojuegos. Se trata de la colaboración del estudio español Minimal Drama Game Studio. Este estudio independiente de desarrolladores de vídeojuegos multiplataforma, especializado en dispositivos móviles y afincado en Madrid, participará en el PlayFest aportando su amplia experiencia en el sector para hablar sobre el proceso de diseño de un videojuego, desde la idea inicial pasando por el guión, gestión de recursos, etc., hasta el resultado final. Una gran oportunidad para aprender más sobre este nuevo sector dentro del mundo del vídeojuego que esta en expansión y que también tendrá su lugar en PlayFest. 

 

The BSOSpirit Association continues to offer surprises for the first edition of PlayFest, the music, animation and video games festival which will be held in Úbeda from the 23rd to the 29th July 2012.

This time, after the confirmation of the attendance of composers Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill) and Austin Wintory (Journey), we are pleased to announce the attendance of Lolita Ritmanis, Michael McCuistion and Kristopher Carter (Dynamic Music Partners), the trio that met while working for the great Shirley Walker on the animated TV series Batman: The Animated Series. Michael, Kristopher and Lolita have been writing music for TV, film, video games and the concert hall for over fifteen years, receiving numerous Emmy nominations and receiving the award in 2002 for their work on the series Batman Beyond. Among their credits are the animated series The New Adventures of Batman and Superman, Batman Beyond, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, Teen Titans, Legion of Super Heroes, Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Batman: The Brave And The Bold and the recent Young Justice. All of them have obtained great critical and commercial success.

After years of composing together they discovered the virtues of joining forces, and in 2004 they founded Dynamic Music Partners and have worked as a team ever since.

All of them have shown their talent on solo projects, but certainly they have proven that their work together is much more than the sum of their talents. For BSOSpirit it is a privilege to welcome such experienced musicians in the world of animation and it is a luxury to add their names to the lineup of guests for PlayFest.

Creating pocket worlds from Madrid

There is a further announcement today, in this occasion in the video games area, which is the collaboration of the Spanish company Minimal Drama Game Studio. This independent studio, a multi-platform video game developer, specialized in games for cell phones and based in Madrid, will participate in PlayFest, contributing with his extensive experience in the industry and will talk about the process of designing a game, from the initial idea, the script, resources, management etc., to the final result.

A great opportunity to learn more about this new area within the video game world, currently in clear expansion, that will also have its place in PlayFest.
